Fresh From Origin
The term Washi comes for the two words "wa" meaning Japanese and "shi" meaning paper. These papers inspire strength, beauty and quality. Traditional Washi is fine paper made from fibers of the Gampi Tree, the Misumata Shrub, the Mulberry bush, Bamboo, Hemp, Rice and other natural materials. Washi has been used for everything from printing, writing, art, and bookmaking to origami and interior design.
